This will depend on the speed your Insurer authorizes the repair and the availability of parts. If parts must come from overseas there are inevitable delays. Currently, the parts repair supply chain is longer than usual and there could be freight delays. We always try to source parts within NZ first. Where we encounter delays, we will keep you informed.
We certainly do. We regularly send you text messages or phone regarding the progress of your repair. You are free to ring us as well.
Of course. Your vehicle will be returned to the manufacturer’s original specifications. The repairs and the paint work are part of our guarantee.
Yes, the paint color will be matched. The vehicle paint code, which is found in various locations on a car, will help determine the car’s colour and the paint-mixing formula to use. Depending on the age of your car the paint may have faded. If this is the case, we will need to tint the paint to get the closest match possible. Blending techniques may be used to help match the current paint finish. This can take some time and the process quite complex.
Make sure you are working with a business that has high level colour matching skills capability. We have it.
The answer is no. Many cars are involved in accidents, and most are minor. These repairs are easy to remedy. Where vehicle damage affects structural components, repairs are 100% effective and guaranteed having been repaired to the manufacturer’s exacting specifications. If a vehicle is extensively damaged and the repair expense is excessive the Insurer my well decide to write it off. This is for the Insurer’s to decide.
This largely depends on your Insurer. Where parts cannot be sourced or aftermarket parts are unsatisfactory, we will always use genuine OEM parts. Remember that older cars do not usually have OEM parts available and used parts are sourced. These parts are refurbished and bought up to manufacturer’s standards.
We will advise the Insurer and they will authorise additional repairs so long as they are satisfied the additional repairs were the result of an identifiable accident.
As part of your insurance agreement, the excess payable is based on the premium you pay. You pay the excess to the Repairer at the time you collect your repaired vehicle.
